Hi, Roxanne!
I am so glad to hear you’re planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth to celebrate your son’s birthday. There’s no better place to spend a special occasion, especially during the
holiday season!
By mid-November, both theme parks will have holiday-themed decor, attractions, food and entertainment for you to enjoy. At Disneyland Park, highlights include Haunted Mansion Holiday, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, and the “Believe...In Holiday Magic” Fireworks Spectacular. After the fireworks, snow falls in the skies as a seasonal treat! At Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll want to experience Disney Festival of Holidays and the special holiday decor and attractions in Cars Land. Thanksgiving week will bring an influx of visitors due to many families traveling during the holiday. If you’d like to go when the parks are less busy but still fully decorated for the holiday season, I recommend that you visit during the last week of November or the first week of December, preferably during the weekdays.
Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button for your son at City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park to help him celebrate his special day. It can be customized with a name so he’ll receive personalized birthday wishes from Cast Members and other Guests! If you have any table-service meals planned, be sure to let your server know you’re
celebrating a birthday because you may receive some extra magic during your dining experience. I hope this helps, Roxanne. Please visit us again with any other
Disneyland Resort questions you can dream of!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
