Greetings Chia-Tzu, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for sending your question our way. I'd be happy to assist you. My own little Mouseketeer has a birthday that frequently coincides with our spring break vacations, so I've been in your situation before.
I spoke with a Cast Member to confirm what I experienced in the past still holds today. As long as your son redeems at least one day of his
theme park ticket before his tenth birthday, a child ticket will be appropriate for the duration of your visit.
There's no better place to
celebrate a special occasion than Walt Disney World! When you arrive at your
resort hotel, be sure to stop by the front desk to pick up a celebration pin so Mickey Mouse and his pals know about your son's big day! In my family, the birthday girl or boy gets to help build the day's itinerary, prioritizing their favorite attractions and restaurants. My son loves
water parks and often requests to spend his birthday at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. My daughter wants to spend as much time as possible with her favorite Disney friend,
Figment. A special meal is always at the top of my wish list, and if I were in Walt Disney World on my birthday, I'd make reservations at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera or
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria.
However you choose to celebrate, I hope you have a magical vacation, Chia-Tzu. If there's anything else we at
planDisney can do to help make your trip or your son's birthday even more memorable, please come back and see us again. You've got a friend in me!
