Hello. I have a son who will be turning 2 in July of 2016. We are taking him to Disney for an early birthday experience. Though he will turn right after we leave to come back home. Is there any perks or reservations I can make to celebrate his birthday?

    Hi Amy!

Happy early birthday to your son! Two is such a wonderful age for Walt Disney World!

When you arrive at the resort or any of the parks, make sure to tell a Cast Member that it his his birthday. They will give him a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button and he will enjoy receiving birthday greetings from Cast Members all day long.

You will also want to make an Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) and you can make a note upon booking that it is your son's birthday. While it's not guaranteed, many of the Table Service restaurants will give the birthday guest a special cupcake or treat to commemorate the occasion.

I also recommend ordering a special birthday gift for your son from Disney Floral and Gifts. They will deliver the gift to the room while you are at the parks and when you return he will see a special gift from "Mickey"! He will feel incredibly special!

You can also order an In-Room Celebration, in which you can choose from various packages to have the resort room door decorated for his birthday.
