Hey there, hi there, ho there, Aurea, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can’t think of a better place to spend your son’s third birthday than the Happiest Place on Earth! He is going to have the time of his life, and you’re both going to be making so many special memories.
Disneyland Resort Tickets are broken up into three categories: Ages 10+, ages 3-9, and free admission for children under the age of 3. So, since your son is technically turning 3 on the date of your visit, you will need to purchase him a ticket in the ages 3-9 category. If you decide to add
Disney MaxPass to your ticket, you will also need to add MaxPass to his ticket, too. This way, he can be linked to your account via the
Disneyland app, and he can also take advantage of the mobile
Disney FASTPASS Service functionality.
Be sure to stop by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park, or Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park, for a complimentary birthday button for your little Mouseketeer! Once he’s wearing it, you’ll notice Cast Members going out of their way to give him their best wishes. Characters also try to give special attention to those celebrating a birthday in the parks, too!
An extra-special way
to celebrate a birthday at the Disneyland Resort is to plan a special
Character Dining experience. You can make a reservation at one of the five Character Dining options up to 60 days in advance. Book online, or by calling (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463. You can even pre-order a celebration cake and have it delivered to your table-service restaurant! Just keep in mind that cakes must be ordered at least three days prior to your reservation.
Wishing your son a magical celebration at the Disneyland Resort!
