My son will be turning 8 while in disney & I read the kids menu is for 9 &under. For qualtity & variety the adult menu would suit him better, can I pay for the adult dining plan for him or do I have to go with the kids dining plan?

    Hi, Rayanne!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question. I hope your family is looking forward to visiting the Walt Disney World Resort!

One of the conditions of the Disney Dining Plan is that children ages 3-9 must order from the children’s menu when available. However, the good news is at restaurants that do not offer a specific menu for children, your son can order whatever he wishes. At buffet and family-style restaurants, for example, he will be able to eat all the same food you do. Even though there is often a section tailored specifically to most kids’ tastes at the buffets, he won’t be required to limit his selections to those foods. There are also some quick-service and table-service locations with only one menu for all Guests.

I hope this helps, Rayanne, and that you enjoy a wonderfully pixie-dusted vacation. Please write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
