My son will be turning 3 while in Disney, will he still be able to ride rides without a ticket since we don't have to purchase a ticket for him. A little confused as to how that works.

    Hi Sara!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and may I be the first to wish your little Mouseketeer a very happy third birthday!  While Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, no one ages during their vacation to visit Mickey. So since your son will be under 3 years old at the start of his trip, he will not need a theme park ticket for the duration of your trip. This means he will be able to enjoy all of the attractions and entertainment events offered at all four of the theme parks the entire time he is visiting, even after his birthday. He will also be able to enjoy the attractions that the adults in your party have made FastPass+ reservations for. Simply head to the FastPass+ queue entrance, touch your MagicBand or admission card to the touch point and let the Cast Member know that your little guy is under 3 years old and they will allow him to enjoy the ride with you. My little guy loves to touch his own MagicBand to the touch point, just like the big kids, as we are entering even though he doesn't have a ticket or FastPass+ reservation and the Cast Members always tell him good job on the way through.

Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday celebration button for your little guy from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel desk or as you enter any of the four theme parks so Cast Members and Guests can join in celebrating his big day! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
