My son just turned 10 and is now considered an adult at WDW. For the dining plan will he need to order off of the adult menu or can he still order something from the kids?

    Hi Lynn,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question.

I’m happy to say that your son can absolutely use his “adult” Disney Dining Plan entitlements to order from the kids menu during your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort. That being said, using your entitlements to pay for his meal isn’t the best way to maximize the value of the Disney Dining Plan that you may choose to purchase. If you don’t think he’s likely to ever order from the adult menu, I would recommend against purchasing a Disney Dining Plan for your next visit.

However, if you prefer the convenience of having all of your meals pre-paid and would still like to purchase a Disney Dining Plan, then I would recommend paying for your son’s meals “out of pocket” and using your extra table service dining entitlements to splurge on a Signature Dining Experience (which requires two of them), such as the California Grill. They have a GREAT kids menu too, which makes a meal there a great option for the entire family

I hope my answer helps you plan your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
