My son will turn 7 on our trip. Any suggestions to make his day special? One park better than another for birthdays? We have lunch reservations at T-Rex in Downtown Disney. Someplace better?

    Hello, Althea!

So glad you're back with more questions! That's why we're here. :-)

First of all, a VERY happy birthday to your little prince on his very special day from all of us on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. What a great place for your family to celebrate his big day!

To be honest, every park will be magical on his birthday; just be sure that you pick him up a complimentary Celebration Recognition Button so that Cast Members and Guests alike will wish your little man a happy birthday the entire day. (It's really fun to hear this spoken dozens of time throughout the day, and it doesn't cost a cent. Now that's magical.)

You can also arrange for a customized cake to be delivered to your restaurant (just call 407-827-2253 for more information) or make sure that Disney Dining has recorded your special celebration on your Advanced Dining Reservation. Check this by calling Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE or by linking your ADRs online using the My Disney Experience portion of Walt Disney World's website. Of course, you can always inform the host / hostess upon check-in that you've got a VIP with you, too.

Your choice of T-REX, by the way, is absolutely perfect for your son's birthday dinner. The menu is so varied, and the venue offers so much to see and do, too. No matter what, be sure to order Chocolate Extinction for the table. It's a gorgeous dessert that everyone will love; your server might even be able to make it more memorable with a little birthday pizazz, too! (Just ask...out of earshot, of course.)

Have a great celebration, Althea! Be sure to send more questions; we love to help!
