My son is turn on in Febuary and we are planning a trip to walt disney world. I have no idea what a one year old can do there and I still want to give him a party while there, so what can i do for his first birthday? I know he likes animals

    Hi, Yasmir!

Happy birthday to your little prince! Be sure to pick up a free birthday button for your son at Guest Relations located inside any Theme Park. Cast Members, characters, and other Guests will make your son's day special by wishing him a happy birthday!

My youngest son's first Walt Disney World Resort visit was just after his first birthday. There is so much for little ones to see and do. Your son can enjoy every show and parade as well as any attraction without a height requirement. You can use this handy chart to view height requirements for attractions at each Theme Park.

Since your son loves furry and feathery critters, be sure to spend extra time at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park seeing the animals! Also not to miss is my favorite attraction at this park, Kilimanjaro Safaris. Your son will be thrilled to see elephants, giraffes, and more roam freely. Your son will also love Rafiki's Planet Watch which includes a petting area with close-up animal time. Have your camera ready!

To celebrate this big day, enjoy a special meal at a character dining location. Some fantastic options would be Chef Mickey's, The Garden Grill, or Crystal Palace. You can ask your sever for a 'Celebrate Today' cake or order a customized cake by calling (407) 827-2253 at least 72 hours in advance.

For even more magic, visit Disney Floral and Gifts for additional celebration options!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
