Bright Suns, Grace!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare your young Jedi for his journey to a galaxy far, far away. It's almost time for him to blast off into Hyperspace, so let's discuss how he can customize an astromech unit in Black Spire Outpost.
Full payment is required when making a reservation at Droid Depot at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can reserve a spot for any Guest in your My Disney Experience Family & Friends list, so securing a place for your son shouldn't be a problem. You'll receive an e-mail confirmation upon booking, so be sure to share this with him just to be safe. If he's unsure of his schedule, another option is to send him with a
Disney Gift Card that covers the cost of building a droid. He can stop by Droid Depot without a reservation and inquire about walk-in availability. Early in the day or late in the evening are the best times for walk-ins.
I hope this is helpful, Grace, and that your son has an incredible time on his adventure. It looks like the fun begins in just a few days! It's still quite warm in Florida, so he should
prepare for hot weather and occasional afternoon thunderstorms. I recommend packing a refillable water bottle to keep hydrated and a poncho to stay dry on rainy days. Thanks again for sending your question to planDisney, and may the Force be with you!
Til the spire,
Betsy
