Hi Cori, and welcome to planDisney!
Disneyland Resort is an inclusive and accessible vacation destination with magical experiences for Guests of all ages. With that said, Disneyland Resort offers a service called
Disability Access Service, designed to help improve the experience of individuals that find it difficult to wait in extended queues due to a disability.
If you are interested in pre-registering for the Disability Access Service, you may use the steps below:
- Make sure that your theme park tickets are linked to your account. Instructions on doing so would have been included in the confirmation email you received after purchasing your tickets.
- Visit the
Disneyland Resort website and sign in to your Disneyland Account between 9AM and 8PM Pacific Time.
- Make sure the Guest requesting the service is present. Then visit the
Disability Access Service Registration webpage, and scroll down to the “Ready to Chat with a Cast Member?” section to start a chat.
If you can register your son for DAS successfully, the Cast Member can help you reserve two 1-hour return windows for
select Disneyland Resort attractions.
Lastly, before I let you go, if you are looking for an area of the park to take a break from crowds, my go-to is
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. Guest take a long raft to the island and are allowed to explore the caves and trails. It is often not densely crowded and offers beautiful views of the Rivers of America.
Enjoy your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, and if there is anything else the planDisney Panel can help with, we would love more of your questions.
Best wishes,
Lola
