hello!.. my son and I are supposed to go to Disney for Spring Break this March, as I see it, seems like we will have to postpone our trip due to Omicron. what is the policy, how do I start that process?.. thanks!!

    Hello there, Sandra!

Thank you so much for coming back to planDisney with your question. You are not alone with inquiries about travel postponement. And I am happy to report that you have options.

If you have booked a vacation package (room and tickets) and you already have new travel dates in mind for your trip to Walt Disney World, you may be able to modify your upcoming plans online. You would do this by logging into My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World Website. When navigating the site, you would select "My Plans" from the drop-down menu. If you are able to modify online you will see an option to "Modify Reservation". This will allow you to search for the availability of your new dates. If you booked a Disney Resort Collection hotel room without tickets and wish to change your dates, you will follow this same process. Did you purchase tickets, but not a hotel stay? You can change the dates through this same process. Select "My Plans" and then scroll over the "Park Tickets" icon to modify your dates. You also have the option of phoning a Cast Member, who will be able to assist you with any of these changes.

I understand that a lot of time and love goes into planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. A big part of the planning process is knowing the best time to go with your Ohana. And maybe you don't have those new dates just yet. Hakuna Mata, Sandra. You can also cancel your upcoming reservations if you have not decided on a new travel timeframe. Currently, the policy states that you can cancel your vacation package 30 days or more prior to check-in for a refund of payments made including your deposit. Third-party hotel fees, travel protection plans, and non-refundable purchases like runDisney registrations will not be refunded. Theme park tickets purchased outside of a package are not refundable but can be modified to new dates based on availability.

I hope that this information was helpful to you. I know that you and your son's magical vacation may be delayed for a short while, but you can still continue planning the magic while you countdown to your arrival. My family and I love checking out menus on the My Disney Experience mobile app to plan our must-try snacks. You can also follow the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news about attraction opening dates and exciting things coming soon to the Walt Disney World Resort. It's never too early to start making your itineraries for your theme park days!

We hope to see ya real soon!
