My son will be 10 soon and gets vertigo. I will be bringing his medication. but my question is where do I get a sea patch for him? I don't want him to be heavily medicated by his vertigo medicine, were he won't be able to enjoy himself. Thank you!

    Ahoy, Patricia!

On past cruises, I've seen many guests wearing small motion sickness patches behind their ears. You simply put the patch on an hour or so before you board the ship, and it lasts about three to four days. The key is to get the patch on your skin before you board, so it has time to start working before you set sail! I've also had friends who swear by the sea bands you wear on your wrist. The bracelets provide acupressure to key points on the wrist to combat nausea.

To get a time-release motion sickness patch, I recommend visiting your son's doctor, who can prescribe them. You'll want to make sure that the time-release medicine won't have an adverse reaction with any other  medications he's taking. I'm sorry to hear he suffers from vertigo, and I understand you not wanting him to be drowsy and unable to have a good time. By thinking ahead and making preparations, you can hopefully avoid a bout with seasickness on your Disney Cruise!

Hope this helps! - Diane W.
