My son has many severe food allergies. Can you give suggestions for making sure his food is safe during our stay? We are using the Disney DIning Plan. My son would enjoy not having to draw attention to this at every meal. Can we do this ahead of time?

    Hello Dorene!

Your Walt Disney World vacation should be just as carefree as any other guests, even with your son's food allergies. I highly suggest that, especially for the table services, when you make your reservations to tell the Cast Member that your son has food allergies. Even though your son doesn't want the attention, many times the head chef will come speak to you to ask you about what he has in mind for your son before it is prepared. This is really cool! No one will know what you are talking about at your table, they will think that you guys are getting special attention-and you will be!!!   The chefs can be very discreet and very kind and compassionate. After all,, that is  the Disney way. They will go to great measure to make sure your son stays safe. That is why the chef comes out personally to ask you will the selection that he has in mind be sufficient.  So, tell  your son not to worry. The most important thing is that you will be safe and have a magical vacation at WDW. I hope this helps a little. Keep the planning questions coming.
