Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Ashley. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you're planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort! There's no place I'd rather be, that's for sure.
The Walt Disney World Resort is committed to making sure that all Guests have a safe, accessible, and inclusive experience in the theme parks.
Disability Access Service is one of the programs that make that possible! Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed for Guests who have difficulty tolerating extended wait times in traditional queue environments. You ask a great question about DAS and your little guy. I wasn't super sure of the answer, so I called the
Disability Services Team and the Cast Member I spoke to said that your son may qualify for DAS, even though he's under the age of 3 and consequently will not have theme park admission.
Did you know that eligible Guests can now
pre-register for DAS Advance virtually with a Cast Member, using live video chat? This is a great option for you! Pre-registration for DAS Advance can be completed up to 30-days in advance, but no less than 2-days prior to your arrival.
As a mom of three, I encourage you to utilize the
Baby Care Centers in the theme parks. One of my kiddos had a lot of anxiety about using public restrooms for diaper changes when he was a toddler. He could ride dark attractions like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean with no problem, but public restrooms? No way! He was much more comfortable with the peace and quiet of the Baby Care Centers. It might be a good fit for your little guy too!
I hope this was helpful, Ashley. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
Ashley
