My 13yo son with sensory needs wants to build a lightsaber at Savi's Workshop. Will 2 parents be allowed to accompany him—one parent to help build and with environmental episodes, while the other parent photographs the experience?

    Hey there, Amanda!

Welcome to planDisney - we're so glad that you stopped by with your question!

Your journey to Black Spire Outpost will definitely be safer if someone in your crew has a lightsaber! You never know when you might encounter a Stormtrooper, and Savi's Workshop is the best spot to create a unique lightsaber for protection, or just for fun! This experience is definitely a memorable one, so I completely understand wanting to get some great image captures along the way.

Given that the Gatherers have packed Savi's Workshop full of unusual parts and treasures from across the universe, space is limited. Currently, each reservation at Savi's includes one Guest who will build their own lightsaber (the "builder") and up to one additional Guest.

While I can't make any promises here, you should definitely reach out to Walt Disney World Resort Disability Services, either by phone at 407-560-2547 or via email at to discuss your crew's specific needs. I know that in my past experiences, this talented team of Cast Members has done everything they can to make sure everyone in my crew has an amazing and accessible experience!

Don't forget to try some of the best food in the galaxy during your visit! The Milk Stand is one of my personal favorites, and I never leave Batuu without grabbing a Ronto Wrap!

I hope I've helped - please let me know when additional questions arise as you continue planning your magical vacation!
