Hey there, hi there, Mar! Welcome to planDisney. We love getting to answer planning questions, and I'm happy to help get you an answer.
First and foremost, please let me take a moment to thank your son for his service. I am happy to share with you that as long as your son fits the qualifications for "eligible service members" for the
1-Day 1-Park Military Ticket Offer, he will be able to purchase them on base, and then you will be able to use them. He will not need to be present for you to activate and use these tickets at the gate. Our family just used some of these tickets last week while we visited for a few days over Christmas break. We were not asked for ID. The only ticket that they asked for military ID verification was my son's ticket, which was a Disney Military Promotional 3-Day Ticket.
If you are planning on visiting on New Year's Eve, be sure to have your son get the tickets as soon as possible. You will need to link these to your MyDisney account in the
Disneyland app and then make
theme park reservations. That is a popular date to visit the parks, so I want you to make sure you can get a reservation.
Mar, thanks so much for stopping by! If you have any other questions, we are here to help!
