Hello, Melanie!
Welcome to planDisney! I am glad you sent us your question. As a mom, I understand how important it is to maintain children's routines when traveling.
Your son can most likely access YouTube once the correct
internet package is purchased on board the ship. Although connectivity, internet offerings, and prices are subject to change, the "Premium Surf" package currently includes access to social media sites, email, and web surfing, as well as YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok. Video calling and music streaming (such as Pandora and Spotify) are also part of this package. Pricing begins at $34/day for the full voyage or $42/day for only 24 hours. Prices are subject to change at any time. Other internet packages are usually available, although the "Premium Surf" package is the only one that currently includes access to YouTube. Stop by the Guest Services desk if you have questions about the internet packages during your cruise.
To purchase an internet package, download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you have arrived in the United States. After boarding the ship, open the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app on your smartphone and select "Connect to Internet". This will open a separate browser to view and purchase an internet plan.
I recommend reviewing this
Disney Cruise Line - Guests with Disabilities page prior to your cruise. It includes a link to
Information for Guests with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. This helpful document covers everything from the Mandatory Guest Assembly Drill (when the ship's alarms are activated) to dining experiences (that may feature noises and visual effects). After reviewing the information, I suggest calling Disney Cruise Line if you have any questions or concerns.
Melanie, have a wonderful voyage aboard the Disney Cruise Line! Please reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions.
Happy sailing!
Jen
