Welcome to planDisney, Liza! Thanks so much for coming by with your question today. I'm glad to hear that you have
Disability Access Service (DAS) set up and ready to go for your son this week. Having that taken care of in advance is a great item to tick off your list before you take off, and it will help you save a bit of time on your first day in the Theme Parks!
Combining DAS and
Disney Genie+ service is possible and choosing to use one, the other, or both totally depends on what your goals are for this vacation. If maximizing the number of attractions you ride every day is what you want to do, DAS and Disney Genie+ work very well together. I don't, however, think it is necessary to have both to have a great day at Walt Disney World Resort. DAS on its own is usually sufficient for hitting all the attractions on your list, but on a busy day, it might be beneficial to have both since DAS doesn't shorten the wait for an attraction, but rather just lets you spend that time outside of the physical queue.
My recommendation is, if you're planning on using Disney Genie+ on a few days of your trip, definitely get it on the days you're visiting
Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. Magic Kingdom Park has the most attractions of all the Theme Parks, so it always helps to have Disney Genie+ in your back pocket when you're there. Disney's Hollywood Studios has lots of headliner attractions that tend to have higher wait times, so it's also a great place to grab a few
Lightning Lane return times.
EPCOT and
Disney's Animal Kingdom are the Theme Parks that are the most manageable without Disney Genie+, so if you wanted to skip a few days those are the ones I'd choose.
I hope this answers your question, Liza, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
