Hi Tammy,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by with your question about upgrading your son's Theme Park Tickets to an Annual Pass. I can't think of a better gift, a full year of Disney Magic!
Guests are able to upgrade valid
Theme Park Tickets provided there is one day left on the Ticket. Once the days have been used, there is no way to use the value of the Theme Park Ticket toward an
Annual Pass. If your son's Ticket is still valid and has at least one day left, head to Guest Relations at any one of the Theme Parks or Disney Springs and a Cast Member will be able to assist with the upgrade.
It looks like you are headed back to Walt Disney World shortly, Tammy. Given that your son has already returned from his visit to Walt Disney World Resort, he may need to use his Theme Park Ticket from this upcoming visit in order to upgrade to an Annual Pass. His Annual Pass will begin the first time he uses his existing ticket to enter into a Theme Park regardless of when he upgrades, but I like to upgrade as soon as possible in order to take advantage of the benefits that come along with being an Annual Passholder.
I hope this information is useful, Tammy. If you have any other questions, please come back and visit
planDisney again, we are always happy to help.
~Stephanie
