Hi Aislinn - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I'm so sorry to hEAR that your little Mouseketeer lost his MagicBand, but am glad to know that you had a very happy trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort!
It sounds like you already popped over to
shopDisney to see what they have available. I just checked and was quite disappointed by the selection - perhaps they are prioritizing having a wider variety of MagicBands available for purchase in person at various Walt Disney World Resort merchandise locations?
I think there are two other official options you can consider. First, if you know of anyone else visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon, they could purchase a MagicBand for you and have it
shipped directly to your home for a small fee, right from the check-out register! Many merchandise locations at
Disney Springs offer a wide variety of MagicBand styles, so the person helping you out doesn't even need to be going to a Theme Park.
Alternatively, though this is a long shot, if his MagicBand was purchased as a part of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel package pre-arrival order, you might want to
call and speak to a Reservations Cast Member. It never hurts to ask, and if you explain your situation and provide the details of your previous stay, they may be able to sprinkle some pixie dust and come up with an alternative solution!
One other thing I should mention - did you know that Disney is releasing the next generation of MagicBand,
MagicBand+, soon? This new technological marvel includes light and haptic feedback and gesture recognition, adding exciting new interactive options to park visits. You might want to tell your little Mouseketeer that you'll get him a fancier new MagicBand+ as soon as they're released if you can't find a suitable replacement.
I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but I sincerely hope these options are helpful.
Please let me know if any other questions pop up as you start planning your next magical vacation!
