Welcome to planDisney! You know, I’ve heard stories of Jawas trying to sell droids with bad motivators, but it sounds like your droid might have gotten damaged in transport.
Mike, to inquire about a replacement piece for your droid, you need to reach out to the Merchandise Guest Support Center. You can call (877) 560-6477, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET or you can e-mail merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com. I have reached out to them by email in the past and I suggest you try to include a photo of your droid and the piece you need to be replaced.
