My son really wants to build his own lightsaber, but I'm having a hard time justifying $200 for a 5-year-old who may grow out of Star Wars. I heard MK has a store that you can customize a more toy-like option for less money. Is this true?

    Hi Cassandra!

I do not blame your son for wanting to create his souvenir to take home from Walt Disney World Resort!  Thankfully, there are available alternatives at Disney’s Hollywood Studios if the Handbuilt Lightsabers at Savi's Workshop do not work for you.

I believe what you are referring to is the Star Wars: Build Your Own Lightsaber that is available at Tatooine Traders, next to Star Tours: The Adventure Continues. There are different colors and parts to make his lightsaber unique, and the best part is that (depending on his height), he can experience Star Tours: The Adventure Continues and then keep the mood going by building the lightsaber of his dreams.

    Have a magical build!
