Our son is proposing to his GF during our Jan trip. He has reservations for a fireworks viewing dessert party and is planning to propose during the fireworks. Will there be a photographer there? If not can you request one or hire one for the hour?

Hello Kevin! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations on your upcoming Magical Moment at Magic Kingdom! I cannot think of a more Endlessly Magical moment for your son to pop the question, than during the Happily Ever After Fireworks Spectacular.

Disney PhotoPass Photographers located at various locations around Magic Kingdom usually stop taking photos during Parades and Fireworks in order to maintain a safe and distraction-free environment. I have heard that at some Dessert Parties, like the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, Guests have mentioned that a Disney PhotoPass Photographer was on hand to take a photo upon entering the party, but not during the show itself.

I have heard of some Guests hiring third-party photographers and paying for their admission into Magic Kingdom in order to get photos of "special moments", however it is expected to be low key an unobtrusive for regular Theme Park Guests. Some Guests may object to an obtrusive burst of flashes during the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.

I recommend that you contact a Dining Reservation Cast Member at (407) 939-1947 to inquire about any arrangements that may be made to memorialize the special moment.

    Have a Magical Night!
