My son and I are planning a visit the last week in August. Is this a good time to visit? We know it will be hot, but what about the rain issue? I don't want to be stuck in the room the whole vacation. Thanks for your help, MJ.

Maegan never worry about rain at Walt Disney World!  Yes you might have the summer afternoon showers during your stay but it is no reason to leave the parks and head back to the room at the resort.  Most of the Disney attractions are indoor venues and the waiting lines are often under cover.  Purchase the inexpensive Disney ponchos for you and your son as they are light weight and easy to carry around plus if you do lose them you can replace them versus worrying about a favorite jacket of your own.

Stick it out in the parks because many people will leave and the lines will tend to get shorter during a shower or storm!
