My son is planning to propose to his girlfriend during our stay at Disneyland. Can you suggest a place or an event that would be a good place to Pop the question?

Hi there, Nichol! What an exciting time for your family! I can't think of anywhere better to start a forever together than the Happiest Place on Earth! You've come to the right place. My daughter and I are big fans of Disney Fairy Tale Weddings on Disney+, so I'm VERY excited to help your son find the perfect proposal spot.

In the words of Princess Aurora, "They say if you dream a thing more than once, it's sure to come true." A proposal in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle would be oh-so-dreamy! The wonderful thing about dropping to one knee in this location is that there is a Disney PhotoPass photographer stationed front and center, ready to capture each and every moment. Your son could subtly let the photographer in on his plans just before popping the question, and I bet there might be some added pixie dust in those photos!

If your son is looking for a quieter location to ask his girlfriend to be the"Fairest One of All", there is a spot off the beaten path just to the right of the castle called Snow White's Grotto. This spot has stunning castle views and a romantic Snow White-themed fountain. While most of the Guests are focused on walking through the castle, your son can take advantage of this quiet little nook to make all his dreams come true!

One of the most romantic dining locations is Blue Bayou Restaurant. Picture strolling through New Orleans Square and entering a restaurant with an eternally evening sky, candlelight throughout, and the sounds of the bayou as your backdrop. You'll even see fellow Guests sail past on their way to their Pirates of the Caribbean Adventure. Reservations open up 60 days out and Blue Bayou is a popular one, so like Tiana says "Fairy tales can come true, but you gotta make em' happen. It all depends on you." I would try to make a reservation as soon as your date opens up, even if you need to cancel it down the line. Maybe reserve this spot for a post-proposal meal where they can cheers to their future!

Another fun idea would be to propose on a favorite attraction or a nostalgic classic. Their relationship could take to new heights and soar with a romantic proposal on Dumbo the Flying Elephant with all of Disneyland Park as their backdrop!

We all know that evenings at Disneyland Park are extra magical, and I'm so excited that nighttime spectaculars are returning to the parks on April 22nd, just in time for your trip! Why not pop the question a few minutes before the Disneyland Forever fireworks are set to light up the sky over Sleeping Beauty Castle? You can pretty much be anywhere in front of the castle all the way back along Main Street, U.S.A., depending on if you want to be in a crowd or a bit more secluded. If you time it just right, those fireworks will sparkle right after she says "Yes!"

I hope I didn't get too carried away, Nichol! Make sure they get a complimentary "I'm Celebrating" button from City Hall to commemorate the day! My last tip would be to consider adding Genie+, which will include unlimited downloads of all the PhotoPass photos captured that day, so those memories will last forever! You can search for PhotoPass locations on the Disneyland Mobile App and pick out a few spots for some post-proposal celebration shots! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!

    Magic awaits!
