Hi! My son and I are planning on participating in the Star Wars 10K run in January at Disneyland. Can you give me some hints on the registration process. Recommendations! Staying at the hotel for run Disney event? Thank you

    Hi Shauna!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love running runDisney races with my boys!  You will be making so many magical memories during your 10K.

For registration, here are some tips:
    1.  Have an Active.com account already set up. Be logged in and ready to go about ten minutes prior to when registration opens. You will find a link for registration on the Star Wars Half Marathon- The Light Side website.

    2.  Sometimes when you log-in, it will put you in a queue. This keeps the site from crashing with too many people signing up at once. Just wait in the queue until it's your turn to register.

    3.  After you register yourself, you can choose to register someone else (under 18). This way, your account will already be signed into and ready for you to sign your son up.

I highly recommend staying at one of the Disneyland Resorts or one of the Good Neighbor Hotels.  Most are within walking distance or will have a shuttle to the race. You can find travel information and book online on the Disneyland Travel page of the runDisney website.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
