My son has peanut, tree nuts and seasonal allergies. I always bring epipen, and allergy medicine with us? Do I need to present a letter from his doctor when I put them in my carry on bag? Thank you.

    Welcome aboard, Laarni -

You can never be too careful when you are out on a trip. I'm glad to hear that you've got all the precautionary measures in place and you keep these really close to you and your child at all times. The Epipen and allergy medicines have also become a staple with our family. It's found a nice spot in my purse :-). Thank goodness, we haven't had a need to use the Epipen while we are out on any of our trips... I'm always careful by having these on me, but I dread having to use it.

I haven't had a need to have a doctor's note in my purse whenever we travel with these items. I do, however have the packaging that has the pharmacy prescription sticker with my child's name on it. I've never been questioned about allergy medicines on my carryon, but in case I do - anyone can clearly see the prescription sticker on it. I think you should be just fine, Laarni.

I hope this helps. Please do let us know if you have any additional questions that we can help answer.

    Have a magical day!
