Greetings friend, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your question. As a fellow mom, I've taken my little ones (who are not so little anymore) to Disney Parks as infants, toddlers, and now elementary school-age Mouseketeers.
Let me start by wishing your son a very happy birthday! Toddlers under three are welcome to enter Disneyland Resort free of charge as Mickey Mouse's special guests, but as soon as they celebrate their third birthday, they must have a
ticket to visit the theme parks. If you choose to travel after your son turns 3, he will need a ticket to enjoy Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. If you take your trip just a tad sooner, your two-year-old can visit without a ticket, and you will not be required to show proof of age at the gate.
No matter when you visit, you and your little guy will have a magical time together. There are so many fantastic attractions for the youngest adventurers to enjoy. At
Disneyland Park, my toddlers especially loved floating through
"it's a small world," soaring above Fantasyland on
Dumbo the Flying Elephant, riding the
Disneyland Railroad, and exploring every square inch of
Mickey's Toontown. If
"Magic Happens" Parade is showing during your visit, try not to miss it! It's my favorite live entertainment in
Disneyland Resort!
Across the esplanade in
Disney California Adventure Park, be sure to drop by
Turtle Talk with Crush,
Disney Junior Dance Party!, and
Cars Land. Even if your future race car driver still has a few inches to grow before he can ride
Radiator Springs Racers, strolling down Route 66 and saying ka-chow to Lightning McQueen and his pals is fun for everyone!
I hope you have a wonderful trip with your son, and if there's anything else we at planDisney can do to help further, come back and see us again. We're all ears!
Have a magical day,
Betsy
