Welcome to planDisney, Amy! Thanks so much for asking this great question! As a fellow Rocket fan, I'm happy to help!
Rocket Raccoon is often busy protecting the Galaxy and also tries to avoid getting caught by the Collector, so he likes to be inconspicuous! I have a couple of suggestions I hope might help your Mouseketeer catch him in action! It sounds like you are familiar with
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! at
Disney California Adventure Park and I know that thrill rides aren't for everyone. I'm not sure if you have tried this, but it might be possible for your son to join the queue as if he is planning to ride. You could tell your son that Rocket has a special mission for him and that he doesn't have to ride to help. He could see Rocket and hear about his fool-proof plan to help the Guardians of the Galaxy escape. Then, he could exit the queue. If you ask a cast member, they may be able to accommodate this special request as they love to make magic happen when possible! Your son's mission could be to keep his eye out for the Collector at
Avengers Campus and he could alert a cast member if he thinks he sees anyone suspicious! While Rocket does not make an appearance, he could also dance along to the famous mixtape with Star-Lord and Gamora at
Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off! located just outside of the attraction.
At
Walt Disney World Resort, there's some exciting news from
Disney Parks Blog about the Guardians of the Galaxy arriving this summer! By the looks of the poster, it seems that Rocket might make an appearance on this family-friendly and innovative attraction called
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This Omnicoaster is the first of its kind and is sure to be an exciting way to take an intergalactic ride with the Guardians of the Galaxy! I can't wait to ride it! This new attraction is opening as part of
The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration and will be located in World Discovery at
EPCOT!
On
Disney Cruise Line, there is a
Marvel Day at Sea, however, Rocket is unable to join this special sailing due to his important mission at Disneyland Resort.
No matter which Disney experience you choose for your son to visit Rocket and the Guardians of the Galaxy, I know it will be an out-of-this-world memory! Please visit us again at planDisney if you have any additional questions about Disney vacations.
Happy Planning!
