My son is 2 1/2 so we will not have to pay for his trip. We want to book a Character Dining but didn't know if we should book for 2 or 3 people since he is free. What should we do? Also, which would you suggest?

Hi, April! I love free stuff! Why? Because I'm cheap! Bringing kids to Disney World before they turn three is especially awesome because they get free park admission and can eat for free if you play your cards right.

Make your reservation for three people instead of two. That way, you get a spot to plop a highchair or a booster for your boy. Otherwise, some two-seaters can't always accommodate another place setting and you may have to wait longer for a table.

The best way to have your son dine for free with character meals is to hit character dining experiences that have buffets. He can eat off your plate (or your hubby's.) Our favorite character dining experiences are Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom and Donald's Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom.
