Hello Rebecca!
I think it is wonderful that your son's school is encouraging students to write and mail a business letter! I sometimes worry that the craft of writing, especially letter writing, is a lost art. However, the importance of being able to communicate clearly and effectively, especially in business, is essential.
Your son can write a letter to a Disney character and mail it to:
Walt Disney World Communications
P.O. Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040
When you write to a Disney character, you will get an autographed postcard back in the mail! He can write to Mickey Mouse or any of the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, or Pluto). He can also write to the Disney Princesses (Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Tiana, Snow White, Jasmine, Rapunzel, or Aurora.) I encourage him to include why he's writing (school assignment) and why he chose that particular character.
If he is looking for an answer to a specific question, then I encourage him to explore the
Walt Disney World website. There is a ton of great information and he can find contacts for specific topics. For example, if he would like to know more about how Walt Disney World handles managing a variety of culinary and dietary options for Guests with allergies or special dietary needs, I encourage him to write to the
Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
If he would like to learn more about the services for
Guests with disabilities, he can contact disability services at disability.services@disneyparks.com.
The Walt Disney World website also has a
contact us form that he can use to submit a question requesting information.
And of course, if he would like to submit a business letter with any questions for the planDisney team, he can reach us on the
planDisney site. We would be happy to help him!
Good luck to your son!
Magically,
Stacy
