My son has Muscular Dystrophy and uses a scooter. We plan on renting from an outside vendor. We have the option to rent a power wheelchair. Which would be best? I know some rides accomodate wheelchairs, but would they just as easily accomodate scooters?

    Hi Tamara!

You will find Electronic Convenience Vehicles, or scooters, just about everywhere at Walt Disney World!  Disney World is wonderfully accommodating to guests with mobility issues and your son should have no trouble maneuvering his way around.  In fact, all attractions that are power wheelchair accessible are also scooter accessible!  However, some attractions will require him to transfer to a regular wheelchair in order to experience the ride.  For a complete list of the attractions that may concern you, I suggest you visit wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/disabmobility.htm#attacc.  The buses and monorail are also wonderfully accommodating as well!

I hope that you have a wonderful vacation and keep those questions coming!
