Hi Laura! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
You are going to LOVE traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort soon with your toddler! I have taken many trips with my little ones during their infant and toddler years and there is nothing like seeing their eyes light up each time they see a new character or experience a new attraction. Make sure to have your camera ready to capture it all!
One of the best things about vacationing at "The Most Magical Place on Earth" is that there is SO much for little ones to enjoy! You'll find that
most rides do not have height restrictions and are perfect for every age. A few of our favorite rides as a family with young kiddos include: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, "it's a small world" and Peter Pan's Flight in Magic Kingdom Park; Frozen Ever After, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros and The Seas with Nemo & Friends in Epcot; Kilimanjaro Safaris and Na'vi River Journey in Disney's Animal Kingdom; and Toy Story Mania! in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Trust me, these suggestions just brush the surface of all the attractions that accommodate toddlers!
Don't skip
characters and shows simply because you don't think your son is old enough to interact with them. Disney does an amazing job of making everything colorful and animated to capture the attention of all ages. And trust me, sitting down for a bit in the air conditioning for a spectacular show can be a great rest break for everyone!
Check out this recent answer I gave about
tips for traveling with young children. There is a lot of fun to experience during your vacation and I want you to soak up every special moment!
