My son is 16 months and a huge Mickey Mouse fan but that’s it I’m wondering if I should even be taking him to Disney world magic kingdom to be exact. Would he enjoy the other activities such as parades and the any height rides?

    Hi Brandi,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

Although you know your son best, I’ll tell you again that I had 3 absolutely magical trips with my little guy before he turned 2. Toddlers are usually absolutely fascinated by the world around them, and a colourful world like the one found at Magic Kingdom Park is sure to fill him with wonder and delight.

Even if he’s a big fan of Mickey Mouse, I’m sure you’ll find other things that he’ll enjoy! On top of the parades, fireworks shows and other entertainment options, my son’s favourite attractions at that age were Dumbo the Flying Elephant (especially its amazing interactive play area/queue with an area reserved especially for the under-3 set), Peter Pan’s Flight and "it’s a small world", which he still loves!

If you want to read about even more ideas for fun with your little one, I recommend that you go take a look at the Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones page. It’s jam-packed with lots of tips and tricks for making your visit to Walt Disney World Resort memorable for both you and your son.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Lynne
