My son is going to MK with his school 3/13. I paid $100 + $30 trans for his ticket. We are going as a family 4/2 & are buying either Platinum or Fl Resident Gold passes. Can the $100 for his 3/13 ticket be applied to an annual pass price?

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Victoria!

Oh, boy. Your son is going to have a blast when he visits Walt Disney World with his school! While the parks are always magical, there is something extra-special when students visit with their school peers.

When I chaperone my students' trips to Walt Disney World, the Theme Park Ticket we distribute is a discounted youth group ticket, so if your son's school does the same, you most likely won't be able to upgrade that ticket to a different pass. When I have inquired about upgrading ours, I was told that these discounted tickets are only valid for a particular time period (the weeks surrounding the school trip) and that this type of ticket cannot be upgraded.

Of course, check with your son's school to verify the ticket type, as they could be using something different.

Happy planning your year's worth of magic using your Florida Resident Pass or Annual Pass, Victoria! As you think of more questions, be sure to send them our way. We love to help!
