My son is in the military. Are there park discounts ?

There sure are, Kara. Let's make sure you have everything you need for your family to save some money on your park admission!

Active duty and retired members of the U.S. Military are eligible for 4-Day or 5-Day Military Promotional Tickets. Each service member or his or her spouse can purchase up to a total of six of these specially-priced tickets. It's important to know that the eligible service member or his or her spouse must be present to activate and use the tickets. You'll want to be sure that if indeed your son does take advantage of the opportunity to buy these tickets, he or his spouse will be traveling with the party who will use the tickets. Let your son know that he should visit the ticket office at his participating military base to make the purchase. You might also want to read about all the details for this offer before you leave home.

You indicated that your trip is coming right up. Have you heard yet about the Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival? It's such a great event! Not only does it feature creative topiaries, but the Outdoor Kitchens are a must-do. My family likes to spend a day strolling around the World Showcase enjoying bites and sips inspired by dishes from around the world. This handy foodie guide will help you navigate directly to your favorite flavors.

Also, if you visit Disney's Animal Kingdom, I'd make it a priority to experience Kilimanjaro Safaris. An adorable little white rhino calf just made his way out to the savanna to join his mama!

Have a great time, Kara. And, on behalf of all of us here at planDisney, thank your son for his selfless service!
