My son meets the height requirement for Tron, but he's pretty slight in the weight department. Are there any weight requirements as far as someone being too small if they are 48 inches? Thanks!!

    Hi Laurel,

    Welcome to planDisney!

I am happy to assist with your practically perfect planning! Checking the height requirements was good to do prior to your visit. I did check with a cast member to confirm. While there are no general minimum weight requirements, I would still consult with a cast member at the attraction prior to boarding. TRON Lightcycle / Run is a phenomenal experience but one of our teenagers has only ridden it once because she felt like she had to hang on too tightly.

Although I wish I could give you more of a definitive answer, I do have one more suggestion. On a visit with our girls, we did the virtual queue and purchased Individual Lightning Lane Entry for TRON so that we could experience the attraction during the day and at night (this was the trip where one of our girls chose not to ride the second time). If you have not yet experienced the attraction, you could also try to secure a virtual queue position and purchase Individual Lightning Lane Entry so that you can ride it before your son to get a sense of it prior to letting him ride.

As you continue your fabulous planning, be sure to make note of parade and fireworks showtimes. We love the Happily Ever After show and the newest show at EPCOT, Luminous The Symphony of Us is gorgeous. We always find a viewing spot about an hour before the show. And, at Magic Kingdom, we love to catch the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.

Laurel, with your arrival date, it looks like you may just miss the official opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. If you happen to be a member of the Annual Passholder family, take note of the AP preview dates during your visit! I love all of the discounts and benefits of being an Annual Passholder. In just a few short weeks, start packing. You are almost there!

    Magic and memories,
