Hello, Audrey!
I’m so glad you visited
planDisney with this question. There are many services and strategies available at the Disneyland Resort to help
Guests with disabilities maximize their time in the theme parks and have a magical experience with their families!
As you know, the Disability Access Service (DAS) system is designed to accommodate
Disneyland Resort Guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue due to a disability (including autism and cognitive disabilities) by allowing them to receive a return time for attractions based on the current wait time. I am confident that this and other services to assist disabled Guests will remain available when the theme parks reopen on April 30, 2021.
You will need to visit City Hall in
Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park to speak to a Cast Member about your son’s specific needs. If DAS is provided, a Guest Relations Cast Member will walk you through the registration process. Be sure to have your valid theme park ticket handy, and your son will have his photo taken. Please keep in mind that DAS is valid for up to 60 days. After that time, you’ll need to visit Guest Relations to have the service re-issued.
I hope this information helps you plan, Audrey, and that your family has a pixie-dusted visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Please feel free to send us any other questions you have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
