Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kerry!
Mine’s a military family too, and we’ve been there. We’ve had to make lots of changes to our Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans through the years to accommodate my husband’s military travel or work commitments, and I’ve had really positive experiences working with Disney Cast Members to make it all happen.
I really hope it works out and your son is able to join you for some together time in The Most Magical Place on Earth! Since your visit is right around the corner, my advice is to
call the Walt Disney World Resort Reservations Center at (407) 939-1936. There are so many different types of reservations and
Disney vacation packages, and those come with different terms, conditions, and policies. A call to a Cast Member means you’ll get exactly the information you need so you’re able to add your son in the easiest way possible.
Kerry, if your son is able to come, there are some great
Special Offers you may be able to take advantage of. One is the
Military Promotional Theme Park Ticket. If he’s able to come for four or five days, this ticket is an amazing price, and can be purchased tax-free on base or at Shades of Green, Disney’s military resort, or from any theme park ticket window (but tax will apply at a ticket window). There are also
discounts on select Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms for military members. Finally, in 2019, military members can purchase Memory Maker for $98. Note that your son must be with you to take advantage of any of these discounts, as a valid and active U.S. military ID must be presented.
I’m sending pixie dust that all your wishes come true and you are making magical memories together in just a few short weeks! On behalf of my own military family, and my fellow Panelists, a great big thank you to your son for his service, and to you for your own service and sacrifice. Enjoy every minute of that together time in the place where dreams come true.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
