Hey there, Debbie!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by with your fantastic question. I am also the mother of a Cars-obsessed son who has had a truckload of fun at the Disneyland Resort, so I'd love to give you some tips!
You will find that the Disneyland Resort is much simpler to navigate than the Walt Disney World Resort as the two theme parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, are a mere footsteps apart. We find this so convenient for park hopping with our little one. While some attractions and theming may feel familiar to you, there are going to be so many unique experiences in the Happiest Place on Earth. My family's favorite of these (and soon to be yours) is definitely Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park. We love this immersive land for making us feel like we are actually cruising down Route 66 in Radiator Springs. While the three attractions here are one of the most popular draws, I recommend taking your time to really soak in the details of this special land. Make a pit stop at Flo's V8 Cafe for some diner favorites, or park over at the Cozy Cone Motel for a snack. You'll even be able to meet some of the residents here like Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater. Another reason we love this land so much is that it takes on a completely different vibe as the sun goes down and bright neon lines the street. It's truly one of the most breathtaking sites at the Disneyland Resort.
Before your trip, I advise checking out the
Daily Events Schedule which is updated approximately six weeks in advance. This will let you know entertainment schedules as well as attractions that are closed for refurbishment. As of now, we are not aware of any planned maintenance of Radiator Springs Racers, but keep checking this schedule as your trip approaches.
You "auto" visit us again if you have any questions before you trip!
