I have a son who loves basketball. I do not. He would like to go to the NBA Experience. He will be 16 years old for our trip. Can I just sign the waiver and leave him there and go shopping?

    Hi Cindy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! One of the wonderful things about a Walt Disney World vacation is that there are rides, attractions and experiences for all ages and all tastes. It sounds like the new NBA Experience at Disney Springs will be a perfect treat for your son, if not for you.

Guests younger than 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver for them at the NBA Experience. However, guests who are 14 or older do not need an adult to accompany them.

So you should be free to shop, dine, see a movie or enjoy other entertainment at Disney Springs while he hoops it up.

You can lose yourself for hours in the shops at Disney Springs. I love browsing the boutiques such as Disney Style, Marketplace Co-Op, Francesca's and, of course, World of Disney. I also enjoy people-watching from the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar, Starbucks or Waterview Park.  Or how about a sweet treat for yourself from Amorette's Patisserie, Vivoli il Gelato or AristoCrepes

Whatever you choose, I wish you a magical visit to Disney Springs and Walt Disney World that fulfills the expectations of everyone in your family. Please let us know if we can help in any other way, Cindy. Enjoy!
