    My son in law, wife, 13 year old son, and 9 year daughter want to see disney world In Feb or March 2015. Of course money is of a concern like most families. Could you give me some tips on money saving ideas, packages, best time during that time period

    Hi Patricia!

    As a family of seven, I am always looking for ways to save money on my Walt Disney World vacations!You are already doing the most important step to saving money by planning early.First I suggest coming up with a reasonable budget for your trip, that will help you to decide many components of your vacation such as which resort, length of stay and dining.Resort rates and ticket prices for 2015 will usually not be available until the summer of 2014, but you can get a good idea of your cost based on prices for 2014.

    Disney has many different seasons with various rates and by visiting during a value season you can literally save hundreds of dollars.I would recommend visiting the first week of February which is usually considered a value season.Most of February and March historically have been considered peak season due to President's weekend and Spring Break holidays.Which means prices for Disney Resorts will be at their most expensive and the parks will be more crowded.

    Deciding if a Magic Your Way Package is right for your vacation, the first question I always consider is if I wish to participate in Disney's Dining Plan.Disney's Dining Plan is typically only available by purchasing a vacation package that consists of your Disney resort stay and ticket purchase.While Disney does have special offers on Magic Your Way Packages,I have found bigger savings by booking my room and purchasing my tickets separately through undercovertourist.com. Disney quite frequently offers special room only discounts that will save you quite a bundle depending on which resort you choose.
