Hi Kristen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Oooooh, how exiting that your son is going to build an intergalactic friend on your visit to Batuu!
While I don't have experience moving a reservation around at either
Droid Depot or
Savi's Workshop in the brand new land of
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, I have a strong suspicion it would be the same as a Cast Member moving an
Advance Dining Reservation around should there be a more convenient opening. I
have done this a time or two, and as long as the Cast Member is the one to make the changes (as opposed to you making a brand new reservation in your My Disney Experience account or app) then you'll be set for the new time slot without penalty to the other.
There are several locations where you can make this request. The best option would be in person at Droid Depot early in your day. There are also
Guest Experience Teams stationed in four different areas of
Disney's Hollywood Studios should you already have plans made in Toy Story Land, or down Sunset Boulevard towards The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Armed with iPads this team will also be able to check if there are any earlier reservations you could switch to. If this park isn't where you're spending your first Disney Day, you could also ask at the
Guest Relations locations available in all four Disney Theme Parks and at Disney Springs. And my last suggestion would the Concierge at your
Disney Resort Hotel as they should also be able to assist with securing this swap.
Have you resEARched the dining options in this part of the galaxy yet? The Batuuan Beef Pot Roast and the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo truly are out of this world!
From one Kristen to another, I hope these tips help you plan your upcoming Disney Days and We'll See You Real Soon!
