I have a son who has juvenile arthritis. It is very hard for him to stand in lines for long periods of time.In the past we have gotten a handicap pass that allows him to bypass the long lines. Is this still available? If so do I need a doctor's note?

Hi, Karen! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Disneyland Resort goes above and beyond to ensure Guests of differing abilities can enjoy the parks to the fullest. For those that cannot wait in traditional queues, the Disneyland Resort offers Disability Access Service which serves as a virtual wait for an attraction. You will be given a ticket with a return time and while you wait for that time, you can enjoy another attraction, meet a character, or eat a meal or snack. You must inquire about this service when you arrive at either City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park. A Cast Member will discuss your needs and available accommodations. It doesn't say that a doctor's note is required, but it couldn't hurt to bring one along.

A few other ways to help reduce wait times are to arrive early in the day and take advantage of early admission options if those are available to you. Also, use the Disney FASTPASS Service as much as you can. Finally, download the Disneyland app to see attraction wait times and FASTPASS return times before heading to a particular attraction.

I hope this information is helpful. Have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
