My son is 6 (46 inches tall) and wears AFO braces and my daughter is 2. We are going to rent a double stroller and were wondering if you had a suggestion for whether we should go with the City Mini GT Double or the Summit x3 Double? Thanks!

    Hi, there!

Tim, I'm so excited to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few short months. You're sure to have a magical stay!

A stroller is an absolute must-have for a day in the theme parks with my family. Pixie-dusted adventures require a lot of walking, and little legs tire easily! I'm happy to give you my suggestion for a stroller rental from one of Disney's featured providers.

Both the strollers you're asking about are super great. Each features extra-large sun canopies to keep little ones cool and shaded, seats that recline nearly flat (perfect for a quick snooze!), and sizable under seat baskets for storage. These strollers also fold exceptionally easily! Personally, I recommend renting the City Mini GT Double over the Summit X3 Double. The City Mini GT Double has smaller wheels, making the stroller more compact when folded. I love this feature because my family always relies on the complimentary bus transportation to and from the theme parks, and we can get our City Mini Double conveniently on and off the bus without taking up too much space. The City Mini GT Double also has taller seat backs and longer footwells, so your son should be very comfortable. During my family's most recent visit, our 1-year old occupied one side of our City Mini Double and our sons, ages 6 and 8, took turns sitting on the other side. Everyone was comfortable and happy with the arrangement!

To make sure your stroller stands out among a sea of others in the designated stroller parking areas, be sure to attach something that will catch your eye. I tie a few Mickey Mouse ribbons on the handlebar along with a luggage tag.

I hope this was helpful, Tim. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
