my son has an iep, are we able to use this for any benefits at disney parks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle! It’s so great to see you here! Your family must be counting down the days until your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort, right? How exciting!

As a teacher, when I see “IEP” I believe that you are making reference to an “Individualized Education Program”. I hope I am correct as I will base my answer around this assumption, please pardon me if I misunderstood. Working in the education field myself, I understand that accommodations for students with IEPs vary greatly from case to case. I would like to bring your attention toward the Disney Parks Disability Access Service Card (DAS). This service accommodates guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue environment due to a disability (including non-apparent disabilities). As DAS is only offered on an individualized and case by case basis, if you think that this is an option for your son, you may wish to discuss this with Guest Relations. If DAS is deemed appropriate for your son, you would complete a registration process and his photo would be taken. Once registered, your family would go to an attraction entrance to receive a return time. Your family will then return to experience the attraction at the allotted time. For more information about this service, you can contact Disability.services@disneyparks.com or (407) 560-2547.

I hope my answer is helpful for your planning and that you and your family have a most magical vacation! See you again real soon,
