My son is a HUGE Lightning McQueen fan! We are vising WDW in Aug - Sept 2011. I read on the Disneyworld website that Lightning McQueen and Mater will be part of the Lights, Camera, Action show. What is the show schedule for the week of Aug 28-Sept 2?

    Hi Elizabeth,

I bet your son is also super excited about Cars 2 opening in theaters later this month.

Lightning McQueen should be joining the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS) as a special guest star sometime this month.

Disney doesn't list the times for Lights, Motors, Action! on their online calendar. However, there is an unofficial website that usually posts entertainment schedules for the parks about a week in advance - www.wdwent.com.

This site typically updates the schedules on Saturdays so be sure to check the website the Saturday before your trip. Although its unofficial, I've found the information to be pretty accurate and very helpful during my planning.

There is also a character meet and greet location at DHS for Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater. It is currently undergoing refurbishment but should be open by your trip. Look for it next to the Phineas & Ferb meet & greet location.  Both are located near Muppet*Vision 3D and Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano.

When you arrive at DHS, be sure to pick up a Times Guide to confirm show times and meet and greet times on the day of your visit as schedules are always subject to change without notice. Times Guides are available at the entrance of the park, Guest Relations & most merchandise locations.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
