Lauren from FL Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My son is 6 with high function Autism. He LOVES roller coasters and fast rides. I usually only take him on rides I've been on that I know he won't be scared of. Could Flight of Passage be scary to him or worth it?

Hello, Lauren and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your son sounds like my son, who also has Autism and loves motion. We always look so forward to our Disney Parks vacations because of all the spontaneous developmental gains my son makes.

I rode Avatar Flight of Passage several times recently and it is, hands down, my favorite attraction at Walt Disney World Resort and I cannot wait for my son to experience it soon. I am confident that if your son loves roller coasters and fast rides that he will greatly enjoy this unique experience, which, in my opinion is well worth it.

May I offer Disney’s Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities with particular attention to the Disability Access Service and Attraction Details for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities and many other services and resources listed to afford your son a most enjoyable and inclusive experience.

Lauren, please customize your plans with My Disney Experience for Advanced Dining Reservations and selecting FastPass+ planning which can be utilized along with the Disability Access Service (DAS).

I hope this information is helpful, Lauren and we look forward to being of any assistance again soon.
