My son and I are having a mommy son day at Disneyland. Do you have any suggestions on what to do to make it a special and memorable day. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Kristi!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love spending a special day at Disneyland Resort with my boys. Either individually or all three of them. My boys have large age gaps so my trips with them individually look different with each one.

With my teenager, we hit up all the “Mountains.” Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain. Thrill rides are the name of the game with him. We also enjoy going over to Disney California Adventure Park and eat endless churros at Paradise Pier.

My middle boy is 10 and he’s more into experiencing the park than riding on rides. With him we watch parades together, the fireworks show or World of Color, and his favorite thing to do is visit every gift shop known to man.

My youngest is 6 and a HUGE Cars fan. With him we head straight to Cars Land and Radiator Springs Racers. Lunch at Flo’s V8 and a few spins on Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. Having a dance party with DJ in the middle of the street is also pretty fun.

For more ideas on attractions that will fit you and your son perfectly, Disneyland has a great list of attractions that you can filter by age, thrill level and more.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
